"Amanhecer de um velho universo" (Dawn of an old universe) is the second release (the first in partnership with Umbilical) by Brazilian guitarist and composer Lucas Longaresi, following his 2020 debut "Urbano".

Back in São Paulo from Los Angeles, where he completed a master's degree at the California Institute of the Arts, Longaresi explores the languages of American jazz and Brazilian music, also taking inspiration from video-game soundtracks and world-music.

Written during a short period of time in the begining of 2022 (while the artist faced mental health issues, the uncertainty of a post-pandemic perspective and the distress due to Brazil's troubled political scenario), the album's compositions served as a way to vent, to externalize conflicts and to seek comfort. Longaresi's contemplative and passionate music is intended to awaken good feelings in those who listen.

The album features Juliana Cardoso Rodrigues on piano, Vanessa Ferreira on double bass and Alexandre Carvalho on drums.
